Presentation Title: Effective Monitoring and Protection of Workers and the Community during Waterway Chemical Spills
This presentation will cover air monitoring strategies during an incident, how to assess safety or risk, and communication of toxicology information to your employees, the Unified Command structure, and the communities in which you operate. The presentation also covers methods for addressing worker and community health concerns using several case studies from recent incidents. We will discuss the toxicology of oil and its components and how to document air concentrations of these compounds to assist in decisions regarding health and safety, evacuation, respiratory protection, and public safety.
