Vapor Intrusion Studies

Innovative Vapor Intrusion Studies That Save Time and Money

Vapor intrusion studies are necessary but require an innovative approach and sophisticated attention to detail. One of the largest issues complicating vapor intrusion investigations is suspect vapor intrusion compounds commonly present in indoor air from household goods and consumer products. Current indoor air sampling methods do not differentiate the source of these compounds. In some cases, these background concentrations often exceed regulatory screening levels. Misinterpretation of this data set could lead to additional costly remedial investigations and ongoing litigation.

It is paramount in these investigations to have the proper sampling tools necessary to rule out common compounds. CTEH scientists are trained on and utilize highly sensitive equipment, which very few consultants own, that can greatly reduce the time and expense of these investigations.
