It is with a heavy heart that we acknowledge the passing of our colleague, Micah Kendrick. In his time with CTEH, Micah was a valuable member of our team and CTEH family. Our condolences and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
Mr. Micah Kendrick is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with experience in safety and industrial hygiene practices. Mr. Kendrick’s professional experience includes client support of safety program management, OSHA record keeping, and behavior-based safety and training. He has managed contractor safety programs, respiratory fit testing, audiometric testing, and incident investigations. Mr. Kendrick has supported clients with laboratory safety assessments, supported the lead safety role during re-construction at a process safety management (PSM) facility, and has supported industrial hygiene roles collecting noise data, performing personal sampling for various analytes, and mold assessments. His site safety responsibilities have included roles in industrial settings, construction, train derailments, chemical releases and wildfire clean up response. Mr. Kendrick has experience with conducting real-time air monitoring during chemical release responses. He also has experience providing oversight of COVID-19 cleaning and disinfection contractor activities. Mr. Kendrick has managed COVID-19 testing frequency of personnel in film production.
Mr. Kendrick supports CTEH internally conducting safety policy compliance assessments, project Health and Safety Plan (HASP) writing/review and conducting safety assessments. He is a professional member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP). He completed his BS in Environmental Science at the University of Central Arkansas in 2013 and joined CTEH® in 2014 as an environmental scientist. After supporting various safety roles and achieving the Associate Safety Professional certification (2016), Mr. Kendrick transferred to the safety department as a Safety Specialist (2018). Mr. Kendrick served as president of the CTEH Safety Committee 2018-2019.
