A CTEH Success Story: Massage Envy

When Massage Envy’s 1,150 U.S. franchise locations temporarily closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, it reached out to CTEH to conduct a comprehensive review of its infection prevention and control protocols. Under the leadership of David Watts, MSPH, CIH, Senior Industrial Hygienist, CTEH helped the organization further strengthen its internal policies. Today, the protocols include additional cleaning, disinfection, hand hygiene, and personal protective equipment requirements for franchisees, to be implemented upon reopening. As David remarked, “Massage Envy’s existing health policies were robust, and this collaboration has only strengthened its commitment to providing a safe environment for its employees, members and guests.”
