John Lipscomb, PhD, DABT, FATS, Senior Toxicologist, has long been recognized as a leader in the development and use of in vitro data in human health risk assessments. Recently, he was asked to lend this expertise to help “provide independent scientific advice to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on the health and safety issues related to pesticides.”
On September 15-18, Dr. Lipscomb will participate in a public meeting with the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) Scientific Advisory Panel. During this virtual event, the panel will consider and review new approach methodologies (NAMs) to derive extrapolation factors and evaluate developmental neurotoxicity for human health risk assessment.
