During his more than 15 years with CTEH, Scott Skelton, MS, CIH has gained a reputation as “the consultant” industry partners can turn to, trust, and rely on in their times of need. As our team knows, he is able to provide “high-end solutions for high-profile, complex projects” and hands-on training to help keep workers safe. Despite a hectic schedule, he proudly represents us in presentations, conferences, and scientific literature. A “genuine disciple and man of integrity,” he is committed to his own growth and fostering the next generation of leaders.
For these reasons, among many others, Scott was recently promoted to Principal Industrial Hygiene (IH) / Emergency Response (ER) Consultant. He brings years of experience to the role from the Toxicology Emergency Response Program (TERP) team, both as Project Manager and Director. Most recently, he served as Senior IH / ER Consultant, where he conducted hazard assessments; served as project technical director on work-centric projects; and developed comprehensive safety preparedness for more than 150 chemicals. Under his guidance, six employees graduated from CTEH’s IH Strike Team, a mentorship program he helped develop to enhance the use of hazard and chemical assessments on emergency responses. Four became Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH).
As Allen “Higg” Higginbotham, REM, Vice President of Emergency Response, says, we are blessed to have Scott on the CTEH team as “our consultant.” Congratulations, Scott!
