Advancing Data-Driven Decision-Making in Emergency Response

Josh Dubach, MBA, MSc, CEM, understands firsthand that a well-designed operational management system is key for large companies—not only for daily processes but also during potential crises. That’s why he leverages his over 20 years of experience in emergency management to help partners clearly define practices and procedures to enhance their preparedness and resiliency. As one of CTEH’s new senior consultants, he looks forward to assisting clients in strategically thinking through, training for, and responding to complex challenges to ensure business continuity.

Throughout his career, Josh has gained unique insight into industrial operations, including planning cycles. This on-the-ground knowledge enables him to identify and proactively address potential project needs. As he’s seen in the field, a forward-thinking approach is crucial to expediting responses and facilitating a seamless transition from an emergency to everyday operations.

Josh is passionate about emergency response and working alongside clients to help them think through the intricacies of incident management processes. However, he also recognizes and stresses the value of a systems-based approach. He recently published a paper on the topic for the International Oil Spill Conference. In addition to best practices, his article emphasizes the need to capture and implement quantifiable data so decision-makers can identify areas of opportunity and drive continuous improvement.

Josh looks forward to joining the CTEH team, which he says is home to an incredible group of “bright minds” respected for delivering high-quality work. We’re glad to have you on board, Josh!
