Ms. Alvis is a registered nurse and a certified occupational and environmental health nurse with experience in emergency response and legal nurse consulting. She has a background of working as a paralegal for a criminal defense attorney. As a legal nurse consultant, Ms. Alvis provides litigation clients with medical records support for case preparation and serves as legal defense team advisor for case preparation.

Ms. Alvis has extensive experience in medical record abstract preparation, including those for case analysis and case summary. Ms. Alvis also has more than five years of clinical experience involving many different healthcare settings such as: Surgery (Pre-operative, Recovery, and Outpatient), Medical-Surgical, Cardiac, Hospital Administration, Cancer and Pain Management. She has assisted physicians with many procedures such as bronchoscopy procedures, cardiac catheterization procedures, head up tilt studies, arteriogram procedures, liver biopsies, lung biopsies, myelogram procedures, paracentesis procedures, abscessogram procedures, cardioversions, lithotripsy, ultrasounds of prostate procedures, blood patches, and placement of central venous lines.
