About Eric

Dr. Eric Ditzel is a board-certified toxicologist with 10 years of experience in toxicology, regulatory affairs, and product safety. His background spans a range of industries, with deep expertise in consumer products, antimicrobials, food-contact materials, industrial cleaning, and abrasives.

Dr. Ditzel provides scientific and strategic leadership in toxicological risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and product stewardship. He has developed regulatory strategies for antimicrobial and food-contact products across global markets, including support for complex registration packages and GLP-compliant study design. In addition to his technical and regulatory contributions, Dr. Ditzel has played a key role in trade association initiatives, including serving as Chair of the Antimicrobial Exposure Joint Venture and supporting various data  call-in efforts. His collaborative work with regulatory bodies and industry partners has helped drive innovative, science-based approaches to data development, risk assessment, and alternative testing strategies.

In addition to his regulatory and technical contributions, Dr. Ditzel has provided support in product development, high-throughput screening implementation, and the biocompatibility evaluation of medical devices. He is also an active member of the scientific community, holding leadership positions in professional toxicology associations and contributing to peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Ditzel holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology and continues to be a strong advocate for scientifically grounded, innovative approaches to human health and product safety.
