About Lloyd

Lloyd Long is a project manager and senior consultant in the technology department at CTEH, LLC with more than 10 years of experience in information systems, information technology, and software development. Mr. Long specializes in ad-hoc solutions, developing single purpose software to integrate external data sources with CTEH infrastructure to meet unique client needs. He has also been responsible for developing several in-house software solutions to improve or automate internal workflows and processes.

Mr. Long has independently managed information systems for more than 50 hazardous material incidents, working with field teams to help ensure reliable data collection and expedient reporting to facilitate operational intelligence via realtime data visualization dashboards and GIS solutions. He has also contributed to data management teams on several of the largest hazardous material responses in recent years, including pipeline releases, derailments, fixed facility fires, and ship collisions.

In collaboration with several team members, Mr. Long developed technical processes and designed a workflow that helped launch the Aerial Imaging capabilities at CTEH as UAV technologies were still emerging, enabling site accurate basemaps to be used by GIS specialists each day, and creating a visual timeline of site progress.
