About Lourdes
Mrs. Mahoney currently serves as a Senior Quality Program Manager at CTEH®. Previously, she was a project manager for emergency response, industrial hygiene, vapor intrusion, remediation, odor investigation and regulatory compliance projects. Her project experience includes monitoring and sampling for a variety of chemicals in various matrices (air, water, sediment, etc.), writing sampling and analysis plans, and developing site delineation and remediation plans. Mrs. Mahoney specializes in interpreting compliance with applicable laws and regulations set forth in a facility’s permits through inspections, audits and monitoring of reporting requirements. She also operates and maintains specialty field monitoring and sampling equipment, including a portable GC/MS, XRF analyzer and HazMatID.
Mrs. Mahoney joined CTEH in 2007, as a member of the Toxicology Emergency Response Program (TERP®), including serving as an Environmental Scientist Project Manager. In 2015, she transferred to the Environmental Services Division. She has responded to over 100 chemical releases across the United States and Canada , including refinery and chemical plant releases, chemical storage facility fires, pipeline releases, train derailments, well blowouts, and barge and vessel releases. In 2020, she began developing and managing our client-facing contact tracing program and helping to grow the epidemiology line of business.
Mrs. Mahoney received her B.S. in Biology from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. Prior to joining CTEH® she spent time working for a state regulatory agency as a compliance inspector and has additional experience in wildlife management.
